The chill in the mornings and in the evenings … autumn is not too far. The vine leaves are losing their vibrant green colour. Another week or so and the Grenache will be ready to harvest.
Last Sunday we picked the new Mataro grapevines that we planted 3 years ago. The yield was about 50 kg – not a lot but such a great flavorsome grape variety. We destemmed it by hand, to allow the berries to preserve their aroma in the fermenting process.
