After long preparation, we’re off to Italy! It was so difficult to decide which regions to visit – they’re all so beautiful! At the end, decided on Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Liguria, Umbria, Tuscany, Abruzzo.
The plan is to avoid the touristy sites and the crowds, and travel to smaller towns and boutique wineries. We want to meet the masters of traditional Italian winemaking and taste their amazing natural wines.
It was very nice too, on the last day of preparation for the trip, to receive such nice feedback about our red wine Ripasso:
“We had this wine last night at a special dinner at Atlas Dining in Prahran where the Chef Coskun Uysal from Tulum Restaurant was cooking his amazing modern Turkish food for just one night.
They paired the Ripasso with my favourite Tulum dish “Cilbar”. Total comfort food of Organic egg, Chicken Skin, Smoked yogurt and brown butter. The wines went fantastically with this dish.
